A man

A poet (obviously)

An architect (no, really)

A lover of God and people!!!

Seriously though. I'm just a man with a gift of the arts, a passion to see people be inspired and a purpose to make our world a better place!

I will come ANYWHERE and speak to, kick it with, teach and perform for anyone!!!

BRING ME TO YOUR CITY TODAY!!!!!

For me art has been the most effective mode of communciation. It is a gift bestowed by God that holds me responsible for my own personal life, the enivironment around me, and the people who inhabit it. When used properly it has been the path to solution and expression of life's ups downs. It is a means to express oneself and directly contribute to society by simply telling of the world from an individual point-of-view. It is a teller of an ancient story, protector of culture, it is a tribute to things lost. Poetry can be any of these things. For me, it is all of them.

WHO IS T.ODIS?

I am a performance poet and architect from Chicago, IL. I turned to the arts as an outlet of self-expression and as an alternative to street life. Since the start of my poetic endeavors in 2007, i've used this gift as a tool to uplift the environment around me by performing poetry that tells about my life and the lessons that have come with it! I've performed poetry and conducted workshops at slam venues, colleges, K-12 schools, conferences, and various other venues throughout the midwest, south and east coast. I am the 2011 Indianapolis Grand slam champion, a member of the 2012 & 2013 Inkwell Slam Teams, and i've been priveleged to share the stage with the likes of HBO Def Poets Black Ice, Abyss, and Joaquin Zihuatanejo among others. I am also a member of the NUSPA Award-winning ensemble The Left Side Poets, a group of poets determined to contribute to the artistic world by providing personal accounts of life through poetry. I currently live in Dallas, TX but I love to travel!
